The Fresh Air Fund provides life-changing summer experiences for children from NYC’s underserved communities. This organization’s programs give kids the opportunity to enjoy outdoor summer adventures through sleepaway camp and visits with host families. I was 5yrs old when I started the program and participated for 11yrs (age 16) I had a whole other family for 2 weeks during the Summer! Such fun memories!🥰 Just recently I went to visit my host family and although Us Kids and their parents have grown older in age and Us Kids have extended families of our own we bonded like it was yesterday! Just goes to show you that Father Time doesn’t exist in terms of true friendships.
